Cortland’s Mimi Rienzo selected NWGC Player of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Cortland junior Mimi Rienzo (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tuesday, April 14, for events held April 6-12

Rienzo finished ninth out of 49 golfers at the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational. She opened with an 87 on Saturday, April 11, at the Par-72 Cortland Country Club, and on Sunday, April 12, she registered a career-best 80, including three birdies and six pars.

Rienzo's performance helped Cortland finish in second place at the 10-team tournament.
